This is the name given to the "dust" left by prohibited acts related to idolatry.
Knowing that idolatry is among the most stringent prohibitions in the Torah, our sages, in order to distance people from idolatrous acts prohibited by the Torah, introduced a number of additional prohibitions and restrictions. These additional prohibitions are called "Avak Avoda Zara."
