It depends on the time and is divided into several stages:
From the moment of death to burial
7 days after burial
30 days after burial
11 months after death (reciting Kaddish in the synagogue)
A year of mourning (for mother and father)
It is also customary to observe a 30-day mourning period for close relatives: brother, sister, son, daughter, husband (or wife).
