A special prayer recited in an expanded version on Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, the Ten Days of Repentance, and all fast days. In the Tanakh, God is repeatedly called "Father" and "our King," but the combination of these words in the prayer is attributed to Rabbi Akiva (second century CE).
